Not sure about the other reviewer, but after reading this review, I had to register and give an opinion on one of our favorite little take out places we know.
We visit our cottage regularly about 2 kms from this "super" Chip Wagon, mostly in the summer months, and have many local friends who all rave about the food at George's (from what we understand, it's not the owner's name).
The ice cream is great, and we order it EVERY time - judging by all the tall white ice cream bins and the ice cream menu sign out front, Reid's dairy is the supplier from Belleville.
The burgers and fresh cut fries are fantastic, I'm not a fish lover, but our friends order their halibut fish & chips EVERY time we go.
As for locals, our local friends said this place has been there for like 10-15 or more years, some of them claim to have gained weight from eating there so often, so have to disagree with the local opinion comments - though I guess any time you go to a small town, opinions will may vary!
In our family opinion, it's a lovely place to eat, great atmosphere on the way to the local beaches and cottages, on a nice summer weekend. We would and have, recommended to anyone we know!

Fantastic fish and chips, reasonable prices, big servings, great atmosphere, and clean! Adding in the delightfully friendly staff, I am hard pressed to think of what else I could ask for in a Restaurant? I am glad you convinced us to eat-in rather than getting take-out. Can't say enough about this place. My wife and I discovered E&A's 2 years ago and go back at least once a month. I read some negative comments on this page and frankly, I think that these were written by E&A's competition because for the most part the comments were complete rubbish. We have never had a bad experience there, and the food and service has been cosistently top notch. They have the best seafood platter we have ever enjoyed . Their meals although pricey are filling and delicious. It can be cold if you sit in the front in the winter though. If you sit at the chef's table you can watch your meal being prepared. Someone commented that the steaks are pre-cooked and warmed up?? I have watched my raw steak cooked to perfection in frontt of my own eyes so I don't know were that comment came from. We highly recommend E&A's and as a matter of fact, we are going there tonight again!
P.S. They make the best Ceaser I have ever had too.

We had reserved tables for a large group of seniors and people in wheel chairs the staff was outstanding helping , easy to get into restaurant with chairs,the eating area was very nice service was five star and the food was perfect thanks again to Rhonda ,Brain and the wonderful staff

Great food and service. We haven’t been to a store in over 2 weeks because of Covid-19 and decided to get takeout Fish & Chips tonite. I order over the phone and was told to arrive at 5:35. They only allowed one person in the Restaurant at a time. My food was hot, fresh and plentiful.

After knowing the great experience in Toronto at Wildfire we are so glad that Oshawa has opened this upscale steakhouse. There is no other place to go for a 1st class meal in Durham and we recently celebrated my fathers 90th in their party room. Service, atmosphere and food were fantastic and of course the wine list was impressive.

itake my mother and friends at least twice a year to her friends cottage near Perth. it is 2 hours from Niagara almost to the second, and it is at a perfect place to rest and enjoy their fare. Always delicious, and they have the BEST lemonde! Above all else are the wait staff gals, Rachel, Maureen(Mo) and the wonderful older gal, who name escapes me but not her skills at doing her job with professional attitude...i will continue to stop there, because those three gals are, the best!

We really love the fish and chips here. It is lightly battered and just like authentic English Fish and chips. We have never eaten in, we always get it to go or delivered so i am not sure about table service.

Best Fish !!! Crisp outside, huge meet inside! Fresh cut potato, do not have the skin. I hate potato with black skin! Frise are the big ones, you can taste the sweete meat in side.
It is a small restaurant. But the price are really cheap! They have different variety for the fish and seafood.

Our first visit to Ithaca was wonderful! We’ll be back and are telling everyone who will listen, what a terrific experience we had. All staff are so friendly and gracious that it felt like we were in their home. The meals were beautifully prepared and presented and brought to the table with such a sense of pride and fun. We had many questions and each were answered with patience and and an ease of knowledge. Our family and friends cannot thank you enough!
