Farinaz Kovacevic, Notary Public

The practice of the notary public originated in ancient Rome, and today, centuries later, notaries continue to be recognized as individuals of impeccable integrity and trust. It is a tradition upheld by Coquitlam's Farinaz Kovacevic, Notary Public. Farinaz provides numerous non-contentious legal services and is proficient in preparing documentation for the purpose of real estate, estate planning and notarizations.

A love for the law led Farinaz to obtain her BA in Criminology and a Masters in Applied Legal Studies from Simon Fraser University. While at university, Farinaz worked as a paralegal, where she was exposed to criminal law, family law, estate law, and a lot of personal injury and commercial corporate litigation. She was destined for law school to become a lawyer. Or so she thought.

"In between completing my undergraduate studies and starting my Master’s degree, it was my mom who suggested I consider becoming a notary public," Farinaz recalls. "The prospect of owning a small business versus working in a big firm was a defining moment."
